We received media tickets to SISTER ACT’s Grand Opening night at Segerstrom Center so I sent my sister-in-law Nhi this week. She took her friend Carolina for a Girl’s Night Out for her birthday and her first Broadway musical experience. Here is what they thought: “Carolina and I had a blast!! The plot was right on and they chose actors who closely matched the movie. I thought it perfectly translated on stage. I loved the acting and vocals. OC Fair Views from Sky Ride

While at the Orange County Fair one year, we tried the SKY RIDE. I have always been curious about this ride and thought it would have some amazing views of the festival from above. We had the children with us, but had to ride separately, because it can only seat three and one of the children was afraid to ride. Warning: It is quite high and I wish I had a passenger with me to keep me company and distract me, but the views are spectacular. There are height restrictions and if you have a stroller, you’ll have to do a round-trip or walk all the way back. If you are afraid of heights, this ride is not recommended for you. The annual OC Fair is usually mid-July through mid-August and is located in Costa Mesa, California. www.ocfair.com
