Dining Guide at Great Wolf Lodge Southern California

If you’re wondering what kind of dining options are available at Great Wolf Lodge (GWL) Southern California, I’ve got the 411! Years ago, Great Wolf Lodge didn’t know much about food so they used to serve frozen burgers and fried food, but you’ll be happy to know they have come a long way from that, because GWL understands that about 25% of their hotel guests have food allergies, and it is important to them to use quality fresh locally-grown organic produce. For example, we tasted a few items during a special media preview presentation like a garden salad, mushroom risotto, and a gazpacho (cold vegetable soup). The dishes were so fresh … READ MORE >>

Carolina’s Italian Restaurant New Anaheim Location Now Open!

Carolina’s Italian Restaurant, a local favorite in Orange County serving authentic Italian dishes for the last 35 years, has a new Anaheim location! We were just in there for a tasting, and I found my new favorite – their Chicken Alla Anthony combo. It comes with breaded chicken breast, breaded eggplant, ricotta and spinach PLUS their famous Penne Francescana which includes a creamy meat sauce (alfredo sauce + meat sauce mixture) with mushrooms, green peas, and mozzarella. It’s so good! Desserts I just love desserts and their Tiramisu and Cannolis are quite good. Other options are Strawberry or Oreo Cheesecake, Chocolate Mousse Cake, or Spumoni Ice Cream. carolinasitalianrestaurant.com Original Location: … READ MORE >>

Great Wolf Lodge Scooops Kid Spa (Mommy & Me)

Sometimes you need to make a little time to celebrate being a girl, wear tiaras, and feel like a princess. Needless to say, I was the best auntie of the day. Also our mani’s and pedi’s came with an ice cream treat at the end! At Great Wolf Lodge in SoCal, there’s a spa designed for kids called Scooops Kid Spa. It’s great for Mommy & Me or in this case, girl time with my niece. Hint: It’s open to the public! You don’t need to be hotel guests to experience Scooops and the first two hours of parking is free with validation. For our appointment, we all borrowed their … READ MORE >>

Garden Grove Strawberry Festival is May 24-27th! @GGStrawberryFst

We try to go to this every year. For some, it’s a tradition. The 55th Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for the community. This annual event has brought in over $6 million for local charities since its inception in 1958. In 2012, thirteen non-profits received a combined total of over $122,581.00. This year’s theme is: Celebrating 55 Years of Helping Local Kids. The event will contribute funds to youth-oriented charities, and the festival board also permits many of them to sell food and hold games at the event where they raise thousands of dollars for their organizations. The board also awards scholarships … READ MORE >>
