Sponsored post written by me for Pentel. All opinions are my own. I absolutely love pens. There is something about using a colorful pen makes writing that much more fun. Don’t ask my husband how large my pen collection looks, because he will start laughing, but I am obsessed! What’s not to love? I change ink color depending on my mood, and it gives me the pop of color that I need to brighten my day. Just think a list of things to do in black ink is boring, but that pop of hot pink stands out from all that black, and it tells me I need to do it … READ MORE

If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate Mother’s Day this year, I have frequented MEDIEVAL TIMES DINNER & TOURNAMENT in Buena Park several times over the years, and it never gets old. The best part is – I didn’t have to cook! You can give Moms a night off from household chores and remind everyone, chivalry is not dead. The dinner show is an epic battle over which Knight is the most honorable and most skilled over tournament games, jousting, sword fighting, and horsemanship. One of my favorite part is trying to catch a flower from my Knight. Maybe you or one of your kids can catch it for Mom to make her feel special? You really don’t know which team is going to win and boo’ing is encouraged, because it’s all in good fun.

Joined by Olaf (the adorable snowman), Kristoff (the rugged mountain man), and his loyal reindeer sidekick, Sven, they race to bring back summer. I am loving my prAna pieces from their new Spring line. It is super comfortable, and stylish enough to wear while running errands. I am sure I am not the only one that love athleisure wear. I wore this the other day, was in it most of the day, and didn’t want to take them off – I grabbed coffee with a friend, dropped off children, and wore it to my doctor’s appointment. Most of the time, I can’t wear my yoga clothes out, because they’re either not stylish or I don’t want to smell all day. The Ostara Top that I’m wearing in Coal is made with organic cotton, … READ MORE
It’s that time of year again where we can all say, “Yay!” to All Things Boysenberry! Lucky for us, we don’t have to go far, because it’s celebrated right here in Orange County where it became famous. The boysenberry is a cross between a loganberry, red raspberry and blackberry and is named after its originator Rudolf Boysen. Back then Knott’s Berry Farm was a working farm, and the Knott family were the first to successfully harvest and sell the berry. It has changed so much, but the berry is the still the same berry, and every year they throw a party for several days in honor of it. This year’s Boysenberry … READ MORE
Most of us in Southern California are so snow-deprived, we rush out the minute we learn of fresh powder. I was wondering how many people called in sick this week and were skiing/snowboarding instead? Lucky for us, Mountain High Ski Resort is about a 90-minute drive away from Orange County and Los Angeles making it great for day trips! We always try to get there annually and my kids have a blast learning how to snowboard. January is “Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month” and Mountain High will be offering special lesson packages for visitors eager to learn how to ski and snowboard. “Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month” is a designated time … READ MORE
