If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate Mother’s Day this year, I have frequented MEDIEVAL TIMES DINNER & TOURNAMENT in Buena Park several times over the years, and it never gets old. The best part is – I didn’t have to cook! You can give Moms a night off from household chores and remind everyone, chivalry is not dead. The dinner show is an epic battle over which Knight is the most honorable and most skilled over tournament games, jousting, sword fighting, and horsemanship. One of my favorite part is trying to catch a flower from my Knight. Maybe you or one of your kids can catch it for Mom to make her feel special? You really don’t know which team is going to win and boo’ing is encouraged, because it’s all in good fun.
Disney On Ice Frozen – the show worth melting for – brings a family favorite to the ice, and they’re coming back to Long Beach and Ontario! Dazzling ice skating, special effects and unforgettable music will magically transport you to wintry Arendelle. Princess Anna along with her friends takes us with them on a fearless adventure to find her sister, Queen Elsa. Joined by Olaf (the adorable snowman), Kristoff (the rugged mountain man), and his loyal reindeer sidekick, Sven, they race to bring back summer. Encounter Everest-like conditions and mystical trolls as you sing-along to Academy Award®-winning songs and ultimately discover true love is the most powerful magic of all! It’s hosted by … READ MORE
I am loving my prAna pieces from their new Spring line. It is super comfortable, and stylish enough to wear while running errands. I am sure I am not the only one that love athleisure wear. I wore this the other day, was in it most of the day, and didn’t want to take them off – I grabbed coffee with a friend, dropped off children, and wore it to my doctor’s appointment. Most of the time, I can’t wear my yoga clothes out, because they’re either not stylish or I don’t want to smell all day. The Ostara Top that I’m wearing in Coal is made with organic cotton, … READ MORE
It’s that time of year again where we can all say, “Yay!” to All Things Boysenberry! Lucky for us, we don’t have to go far, because it’s celebrated right here in Orange County where it became famous. The boysenberry is a cross between a loganberry, red raspberry and blackberry and is named after its originator Rudolf Boysen. Back then Knott’s Berry Farm was a working farm, and the Knott family were the first to successfully harvest and sell the berry. It has changed so much, but the berry is the still the same berry, and every year they throw a party for several days in honor of it. This year’s Boysenberry … READ MORE
Most of us in Southern California are so snow-deprived, we rush out the minute we learn of fresh powder. I was wondering how many people called in sick this week and were skiing/snowboarding instead? Lucky for us, Mountain High Ski Resort is about a 90-minute drive away from Orange County and Los Angeles making it great for day trips! We always try to get there annually and my kids have a blast learning how to snowboard. January is “Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month” and Mountain High will be offering special lesson packages for visitors eager to learn how to ski and snowboard. “Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month” is a designated time … READ MORE
The Southern California Resident Deal at Disneyland Resort is back, and it’s offering locals a sweet deal to enjoy the park! This year they are offering three days, one park each for $199 with one magic morning access – that’s about $67 per park per day! (Non-resident pay $270). To compare, single day passes can range from $91-$124 depending on if it’s a peak day or for a child. There is also a 3-Day Hopper option for $244 which is about $82 per day. (Non-resident pay $315). Either way you look at it, it’s like getting a third day for the price of two! What I like about this deal … READ MORE
I love the holidays but it’s always so stressful and so much pressure to get it all done. Thank goodness I’m not hosting Christmas dinner this year, but I saw that Marie Callender’s is offering a great option for those that could use the help. Why slave in the kitchen all day if you don’t need to? There are SIX Holiday Feasts complete with all the trimmings and sides plus a Marie Callender’s signature Pumpkin or Apple Pie! The Holiday Feasts serve between four-eight people, and are conveniently packed and ready to go. All you need to do is reheat for three hours, serve and enjoy – it’s that easy! They are … READ MORE
