Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA Now in Orange County through March 24th!

The Cirque du Soleil productions continue to evolve changing every few years to keep their shows fresh. Their newest production, LUZIA, premiered in April 2016 and is Cirque du Soleil’s 38th original production since 1984. They were just in Los Angeles over the holidays, and are now performing in Orange County from February 21 – March 18, 2018. LUZIA takes us on a surrealistic journey through Mexico, and for the first time, Cirque brings water to the Big Top with surprise elements. Ringling Bros: Behind-the-Scenes with Big Cat Trainer and King Charles Troupe #ringlingbros

Ringling Bro’s Big Cat Trainer Alexander Lacey and the King Charles Troupe. Lacey talked about how he became a trainer and attempted to groom his lion, Messai, by brushing its mane. You can watch it below. Messai is 7 years old and is trained to communicate by following the guiders. Lacey have been around the animals since he was little as his parents were trainers as well. Lacey spends a lot of time with his animals and he understands their personalities. Disclosure: We attended a media preview. The circus is in town! We went to opening night of the new Ringling Bros Presents Out of This World at the Honda Center. We have gone the last few years, and they always change it up! They still have the Animal Open House (purchased ticket required for viewing) so be sure to arrive early to get a closer look of the animals in the show. I also like going early to avoid traffic, find closer parking, and for pictures with the performers or clowns.
