Scooters Jungle Aliso Viejo

Scooter’s Jungle Indoor Play Arena + Giveaway!

We’re always looking for great options for playdates to meet with friends. The children like to run around, and although they’re more independent, we still want them to be safe. In Orange County, there are so many venues to choose from, and we are blessed with beautiful weather year-round. Playdates usually run about two hours so we don’t feel guilty being indoors. Most recently we were at Scooter’s Jungle, an indoor play arena in Aliso Viejo, for their first annual Halloween Bounce Party. It was pretty fun. It was on a school night but it was in the evening which gave us time to do homework beforehand, play for a few … Read more

Segerstrom Center: Tango Buenos Aires – The Spirit of Argentina Nov18-19th Plus FREE Dance Lessons!

Post written by contributing writer, Angela Camacho. Angela will be covering this event as media. The Tango has always fascinated me. When I was a young girl, I took dance lessons and dreamt about this romantic sensual dance. I would get carried away in my thoughts, and pictured myself in a long velvet red dress with a red rose in my hair. I loved the Latin music and the passionate synchronized movements of this elegant dance. I am totally ecstatic because on November 17th and 18th, The Segerstrom Center of The Arts in Costa Mesa will present Tango Buenos Aires – “The Spirit of Argentina”, PLUS there are free dance lessons … Read more

Exercise + Nutritionist Consultation Helps You Lose Weight!

About a month ago, I had an opportunity to consult with a nutritionist while I was working out at Curves Laguna Niguel. Kumi Blanco has been coaching me to make better choices, and it has helped me so much that I really don’t see food the same way. I think we all know that exercising is important but what we eat and how much we eat is also as important. Do you do any of these? My Challenges with Food Sometimes I would finish my kid’s meals even though I’m already full especially at family events. I do it because I feel bad for grabbing too much, and it’s rude … Read more

New Lazer Maze at Big Air OC Trampoline Park in Laguna Hills + Ticket Giveaway!

Trampoline parks are not new in Orange County, and they are popular for birthday parties among the children. After been to several, I’ve noticed they’re all similar but have differences too. They all want to be family-friendly, accommodate play dates for small children, host teen nights and fundraiser nights for local schools, and they all want to be everyone’s birthday destination. Let’s take a look at Big Air Trampoline Park in Laguna Hills for example. I believe they were the first ones to open a trampoline park in Orange County. I’m not talking indoor bouncy houses but trampolines. I remember when they first opened in 2013, it was new and exciting. My kids were toddlers and preschoolers at the time, and they couldn’t contain themselves. It felt safe letting them run around, tumble, flip, jump off the walls, and jump into foam pits. Adults are welcome to join but why is it harder for us to climb out of the foam pits? My kids are second and fifth graders now and they still have a blast!
