Pair Up Back-to-School Program at JCPenney August 1-15

Sponsored post written by me in collaboration with JCPenney. In August, we’re all gearing up for Back-To-School, and I’m working on a game plan so I don’t get anxieties this year. For example, I will try to avoid crowds by shopping early in the season and in the mornings. I’m already finding some good deals at the mall. This year I am “Pairing Up” with JCPenney! I like collaborating with JCPenney, because not only do I find affordable pieces and they have a great selection of licensed tees that we love, every year they roll out a program to help children in need. This year for two weeks (8/1 through … READ MORE >>

National Teacher Appreciation Day Gift Ideas

It is that time of year again to celebrate the wonderful educators in our lives. This year’s National Teacher Day is Tuesday, May 9, 2017. It is usually the Tuesday of the first full week in May. Some dedicated creative classroom moms will organize a week-long celebration to shower our beloved teachers together as a group with a set budget. If you ask most teachers, they will tell you it is the thought that counts, and they’ll appreciate anything, but I try not to give them something they can’t use. I like to be practical so here are my go-to gifts…

Sponsored content. All opinions are my own. We recently previewed this year’s Spring Collection at The Children’s Place. For the boys this year, layering is the key for both dressy and casual looks. We found licensed graphic tees (which we love), polo shirts in stripe and solids, shorts in plaids and solids, and we love it when their jeans go on sale. Here are some of our picks for boys for Spring Fashion this year that’s great for the playground or a day out with family and friends. Get This Look! In the first look, we layered a solid colored yellow polo shirt (a pop of color) with a t-shirt, … READ MORE >>

BOO! Shampoo and Conditioner Lice Prevention

Disclosure: We received product samples. All opinions are our own.   Lice is NASTY! (So we heard anyway). The other day at preschool there was a notice on the classroom door that our kid may have been exposed to it, and it was to inform us that they took precaution to clean everything thoroughly in the classroom. Whew, that was close, but what if next time we weren’t so lucky and our son brought it home with him? We can only imagine what a nightmare that will become.     Recently we learned that there’s a new strain of lice — dubbed “super lice”— that is more resistant to over … READ MORE >>
