Children Explore Ways to Give Back This Month @PretendCity Children’s Museum

This month, children explore different ways to give back to their communities at Pretend City Children’s Museum. here. This special evening is an opportunity for children and their parents/siblings/caretakers to have some fun in an autism-friendly environment along with other families. Many of our community partners who specialize in supporting children on the autism spectrum or with Pervasive Developmental Disorders Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS) will be on-hand to enrich your family’s play experience with welcoming smiles and practical support. Family Autism Night @ Pretend City and Martin Luther King Jr Day!

FREE again this month, Family Autism Night at Pretend City Children’s Museum is Monday, January 28th. Especially designed for families with children of all ages who are on the autism spectrum, the museum is closed to the general public. They turn off the music and dim the lights. Limited tickets available. (One ticket admits FIVE). Some of our families bring their therapists or specialists to help their kids engage and socialize.

Get Creeped Out @ Pretend City (PLUS a Giveaway)!

I am getting chills just thinking about this. In October, creepy crawlers and other cool creatures will invade Pretend City Children’s Museum. What better way to celebrate the spooky month of October than to have your children explore and look for the creatures at the craggy cave, grassy meadow, and frightful farm shed at Pretend City. A special activity for each day of the week throughout the month include: daily bug-themed activities, meeting special “guests”, and creating creatures in the Art Studio.
